K&C Silviculture Okanagan Operations is a container seedling nursery located in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada. It operates on 50 acres of land, annually growing approximately 30 million seedlings in 120 greenhouses and 65 outdoor compounds. One and two year old seedlings are grown in a wide range of styroblock container sizes for spring, summer and fall planting.

The species grown at K&C Okanagan Operations include:

  • Interior & Coastal Lodgepole Pine, Jack Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Western White Pine
  • Black Spruce, Engelmann Spruce, Interior Spruce, Sitka Spruce, White Spruce
  • Interior & Coastal Douglas-fir
  • Siberian Larch, Western Larch
  • Western Red Cedar
  • Mountain Hemlock, Western Hemlock
  • Amabilis Fir, Grand Fir, Noble Fir, Subalpine Fir, White Fir
  • Alder species, Birch species, Poplar species
  • And a variety of ornamental, medicinal and native plant species.
In support of the seedlings we grow, K&C provides a full range of additional services including:
  • Seed stratification
  • Seedling tests
  • Seedling cold storage
  • Seedling delivery
  • Nursery trials
  • Field visits to clients.
We have grown seedlings for a wide variety of clients throughout much of north-western North America including Alaska, Alberta, B.C., California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Saskatchewan and Washington.

Our client base has included forest companies, First Nations, woodlot holders, private landowners, federal, provincial and state governments, institutions, agencies, mining companies, nurseries, farmers, Christmas tree growers and landscapers.

K&C has the capability to handle client orders from a few thousand seedlings to millions of seedlings.
